Ches`s Fish and Chips/ 8 Highland Dr
Ches's on Highland Drive serves the east end of the city. This location also offers the Steamers menu, and a series of appetizers named in true Newfoundland style. The Trawl Tub and the Captain's Mess offer tastes of fish, scallops, shrimp, mussels, chicken and onion rings.
Sip and savour the taste of a Foggy Dew or a Dickie Melbourne for a true taste of Newfoundland specialty drinks, and for the kids, there's the Little Ches. Even the salads are a tribute to gret Newfoundlanders. Our Ches Salad is a tribute to our founder, Ches Barbour while our Joey Salad is a caesar salad named after our very own supreme ruler, Joey Smallwood.
Take a seat at one of the tables in Nan's Kitchen . . . a unique dining area where you'll feel like you travelled back in time to an outport kitchen. See what's drying on the clothesline stretched behind the old wood stove, and take a peek at other artifacts that were once a part of almost every Newfoundland home. Nan's Kitchen will make you feel even more at home with your friends at Ches's.
